12 more kids die of pneumonia despite reduced cold severity
Punjab Health Department said that 39 children died of pneumonia during seven days.
Lahore: Although the severity of cold has declined throughout Punjab, including Lahore, the series of deaths from pneumonia did not stop and it claimed the lives of 12 more children in 24 hours.
The killed 12 more children in last 24 hours aged between new born to and four years.
Four children from Faisalabad, three from Bahawalpur, two from Hafizabad and Rawalpindi each and one child from Gujranwala have become victim of the deadly disease.
Punjab Health Department said that 39 children died of pneumonia during seven days.
This year, 374 children from the whole province and 62 only from Lahore have died due to pneumonia.
According to the health department, in 24 hours, 765 more children from Punjab including 174 from Lahore were affected by pneumonia.
