Downpours have disrupted the city's system, with several feet of water in low-lying areas. In several suburbs including Malaband, Faqir Colony, water has also entered houses and shops. The walls of several houses collapsed while the boats parked on the shore were also damaged due to heavy rain.
Commissioner Makran Division Saeed Imrani, who reached Gwadar, said: “People are facing a difficult situation due to water ingress in different areas of the city. The houses have been partially damaged, but there was no loss of life”.
He stated that rescue operations have been started to move people to safe places. So far 20 to 25 families have been shifted to safer places.
Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki also directed PDMA and district administration to coordinate relief operations on the situation in the city.

Newly elected member of assembly and head of ‘Haq Do Tehreek’, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that the situation in Gwadar is serious due to lack of proper drainage system. The water entered the houses instead of moving out.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that spending billions of rupees has become a burden for the people instead of mercy. Hussain Wadela, Chairman of Haq Do Tehreek and volunteers are helping the people in every possible way.
