London: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has married his fiancée Carrie Symonds on Saturday in a small private ceremony at Westminster Cathedral in London, UK newspapers reported.

According to several news outlets, the wedding was held in front of close friends and family
A small number of church officials were involved in preparations for the Catholic ceremony, officiated by Father Daniel Humphreys.
The Mail on Sunday (today) reported that 30 guests were invited to the ceremony at short notice. Under current coronavirus restrictions in England, weddings can be attended by a maximum of thirty people.
Reportedly, the Catholic cathedral was suddenly locked down at 1:30 pm (1230 GMT) and Ms. Symonds arrived 30 minutes later in a limo, in a long white dress with no veil.
Public were asked to leave Westminster Cathedral just after 13:30 BST.
The marriage would be Ms. Symonds’ first and Johnson’s third.
The British Prime Minister has at five children from previous relationships.
Ms Symonds (33) was first romantically linked to Mr Johnson (56) by the media in early 2019. They revealed that they were engaged and that she was pregnant in February 2020.
Their son, Wilfred, was born last April.
Earlier this month the Sun had reported that wedding invitations had been sent to friends and family for July 2022.
After the news was reported, politicians sent congratulations to the newly married.
Northern Ireland's First Minister Arlene Foster also wished them a "huge congratulations" on Twitter.
