The Peshawar High Court issued a notice to the Election Commission and sought its reply by March 7.


Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) Tuesday issued a notice to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the petitions filed against the election results and sought a response within two days.
According to the details, a two-member bench of PHC comprising Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Shakeel Ahmed heard the case filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to provide the election result documents.
Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim said that you are asking for Form-45, to which Ali Gohar Durrani Advocate replied that exactly what is being asked for is not being provided. The certified documents should be provided.
Later, the Peshawar High Court issued a notice to the Election Commission and sought its reply by March 7.
The petitioners included PTI leaders Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Kamran Bangash, Mehmood Jan and Ali Zaman, while Malik Shahab, Asim Khan, Hamid-ul-Haq and Arbab Jahandad have also filed applications for delivery of election documents.
