Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro said that Sindh government condemns the illegal appointment of IRSA Chairman.


Karachi: The Sindh government rejected the appointment of Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Chairman and demanded to withdraw the notification.
Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro has rejected the appointment of IRSA Chairman saying that the appointment of IRSA Chairman is a violation of Water Accord and IRSA Act.
He said that Sindh government condemns the illegal appointment of IRSA Chairman.
Provincial Irrigation Minister stated that the chairman of IRSA has to be the member of the provinces or a representative of the federation, no outsider can become the chairman of IRSA.
Jam Khan Shoro demanded from the federal government that the appointment of an outsider as IRSA chairman is a violation of the laws. The Prime Minister should withdraw the notification of the appointment of IRSA chairman.
