The delegation of the IMF will hold talks with the Pakistani authorities from March 14 to 18 for the economic review.


Islamabad: International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials will arrive in Pakistan today (Thursday) to release the next installment of the loan.
According to the details, after reaching Islamabad, the delegation of the IMF will hold talks with the Pakistani authorities from March 14 to 18 for the economic review. IMF officials will also hold meetings with senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy, Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Planning Commission and Petroleum Division.
After the visit of the IMF delegation to Pakistan, the finance minister will go to United States where he will stay from April 15 to 20. Muhammad Aurangzeb will attend the annual ministerial meeting of IMF and World Bank in Washington, where Governor State Bank, Secretary Finance and senior officials will accompany him.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the IMF program is inevitable and the current financial year will be difficult. Pakistan will soon make a formal request to the IMF for important negotiations, it is hoped that the staff level negotiations will start this week. We will use all our energies to solve the problems faced by Pakistan.
