LPG price hikes by Rs30 per kg
Irfan Khokhar added that the official price of LPG is Rs257 per kg while it is being sold at Rs350 per kg in other cities including Lahore.
Islamabad: The price of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been increased by Rs30 per kg.
In his reaction to the increase in the price of LPG, Chairman LPG Association Irfan Khokhar said that the price has been increased by the nexus of LPG quota holders and importers.
He stated that without notification of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Rs30 per kg has been unjustifiably increased for the third time.
Irfan Khokhar added that the official price of LPG is Rs257 per kg while it is being sold at Rs350 per kg in other cities including Lahore.
The Chairman LPG Association continued to say that LPG is being sold up to Rs410 per kg in the hilly areas of the country.
It is pertinent to note that while the government announced the new prices of petroleum products, the finance ministry decided to reduce the price of diesel by Rs1.77 per liter while maintaining the price of petrol.
It is also reported that the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs1.35 per liter while the price of light diesel oil has been declined by Rs2.12 per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol will remain at Rs279.75 while the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs285.56 per liter which will be applicable from March 16 to March 31.
