SBP stated that no plan is considered to transform the currency notes into the plastic ones.

Islamabad: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has denied to issue plastic currency notes.
According to the details, SBP issued a statement regarding the plastic currency notes and termed this news as a fake rumor.
However, SBP stated that no plan is considered to transform the currency notes into the plastic ones.
State Bank is using paper which is based on cotton for currency notes which is manufactured locally by security papers limited using mainly local raw materials.
