Islamabad: Pakistan has welcomed the approval of resolution of ceasefire in Gaza. Spokesperson of Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said: ‘We demand speedy implementation of the Security Council resolution’.
Mumtaz Zahra further said that the resolution calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for the holy month of Ramadan.
She stated that it is hoped that this will serve as the first step towards ending Israel's brutal offensive, ensuring a permanent ceasefire and helping to address the current dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The spokesman added that Pakistan will continue to support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, in which Al-Quds al-Sharif holds the central status.
Pakistan has repeatedly condemned the indiscriminate use of force by Israel, continued Zahra.
She further said that they demand the speedy implementation of the resolution passed by the Security Council, hoping that Israel's barbaric attacks will end and a permanent ceasefire will be ensured.
