20 out of 33 candidates for senate seats from Balochistan withdrew
Election Commission officials stated that the final list of senate candidates will be released today.
Balochistan: The 20 out of 33 candidates has taken back their nomination papers and withdrew from Balochistan senate’s 11 seats’ selection.
According to the details, after two candidates are left on the two seats for women Rahat Jamali of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Hasna Bibi of Pakistan Peoples party (PPP) are likely to be elected unopposed yet the final list of candidates will be released today (Thursday).
The eight candidates for the seven general seats of the Senate are Syed ul Nasser and Agha Shahzeb Durani of PML-N, Sardar Umar Gorgej and Ijaz Ahmed of PPP, John Baledi of National party (NP), Aimal Wali Khan of Awami National Party (ANP), Ahmed Khan of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-F (JUI-F) and there is a contest between independent candidate Anwarul Haq Kakar.
For the two seats of technocrat, three candidates will compete in Bilal Mandokhel of PPP, Maulana Abdul Wasi of JUI and Musleh Uddin Mengal of PML-N.
There are two candidates left in the electoral field for the two women's seats, therefore Rahat Jamali of PML-N and Hasna Bibi of People's Party are likely to win unopposed in the women's seats.
Election Commission officials stated that the final list of senate candidates will be released today.
