The petition requested that the non-bailable arrest warrant issued on March 19 for Ali Amin Gandapur be cancelled.

Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Monday approached the court to cancel the non-bailable arrest warrant in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Haqeeqi Azadi March case.
In District and Sessions Court Islamabad, a warrant cancellation application was filed by Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan Advocate on behalf of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur in PTI’s Haqeeqi Azadi March case.
In the filed petition, the petitioner took the stand that he never deliberately avoided appearing in the court, in fact he could not appear in the court due to election engagements and apologizes unconditionally for disobeying the court orders.
The petition requested that the non-bailable arrest warrant issued on March 19 for Ali Amin Gandapur be cancelled.
It is pertinent to note that a day earlier, the local court of Islamabad had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the case registered on the Azadi March.
