Shafina Shah stripped of Ms. Pakistan title
Sonia Ahmed reveals that despite their support for Shafina Shah's participation in international pageants, her mother persistently seeks financial assistance for their movie venture since November 2023.
Karachi: Shafina Shah's tenure as Ms. Pakistan has come to an end following a disagreement over funding for her movie project involving her mother Atia Shah.
Sonia Ahmed revealed that despite their support for Shafina Shah's participation in international pageants, her mother persistently sought financial assistance for their movie venture since November 2023.
Despite discussions about alternative opportunities within Pakistan, the project was not pursued. Subsequently, when offered another chance for an international pageant in March, Shafina's mother requested £20,000, leading to tensions.
Despite efforts to clarify the situation, Shafina did not address the claims, which were broadcast to her extensive social media following. Over the past year, Miss Pakistan Company provided substantial support to Shafina, enabling her to participate in Miss Global despite surpassing the age limit and promoting her in various media outlets.
However, due to Shafina's actions, Sonia Ahmed revoked her titles, warning against unauthorized use of Miss Pakistan titles for personal gains. Charitable organizations associated with the title without consent will also face legal repercussions.
Sonia Ahmed emphasized that while they've supported Shafina, the company cannot be held responsible for financing her movie.
She advised Shafina to refrain from soliciting funds for the project and urged her mother to cease communication regarding financial matters.
