The sources close to Alia Rasheed say that her resignation stemmed from concerns over “political interference” in the media department.

Lahore: Former caretaker minister Aamir Mir was named as the new media consultant for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after resignation of Alia Rashid from the position on Friday.
The sources said that Alia Rashid, who served as the Director of Media and Communication, submitted her resignation earlier in the day.
Alia Rashid, a seasoned journalist, was appointed as the Director in October last year, marking a significant milestone as the first woman to hold the position.
Aamir Mir, a journalist himself, previously served as the information minister in the caretaker government of Punjab.
The sources close to Alia suggested that her resignation stemmed from concerns over “political interference” in the media department.
