According to details, Sardar Satwant Singh in a statement has demanded India to reopen the Kartarpur corridor which has been closed for 15 months.

The leader of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee thanked the Government of Pakistan and the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri for opening the Kartarpur Corridor and setting up a vaccination centre at Kartarpur.

Sardar Satwant Singh requested India to reopen the barred Kartarpur corridor so that Indian Sikh pilgrims can also worship and visit through the corridor of peace and love.

The leader of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee added that people of all ages can be vaccinated without discrimination from the vaccination centre established at Kartarpur.

Pakistan on Sunday reopened gates for Kartarpur Sahib Corridor pilgrims after a four-week hiatus to stop the spread of the Indian variant of COVID-19 in Pakistan, and visitors started visiting the religious site, authorities said.

The authorities notified the reopening of the site asking the pilgrims to follow the COVID guidelines.

Punjab Rangers chief inspected the site in a helicopter. He also reviewed the security arrangements and consulted the administration.

The corridor was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2019, days before the 550th birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Baba Guru Nanak.

The corridor introduced visa-free access from India to the town of Kartarpur, home to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur that marks the site where Baba Guru Nanak died.
