Bannu: Unidentified assailants Monday opened fire at the police check post in Bannu—a city located in the southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—late at night.
According to the police, unidentified persons fired from all sides at the Spina Tangi police check post in Bannu late at night, after which the assailants escaped due to timely retaliatory firing by the police.
The police say that immediately after the shooting, the officials at the checkpost also fired back which continued for some time, but the assailants escaped in the darkness of the night.
It has been stated by the police that due to the quick and timely action of the officials, there was no loss of life.
