Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Friday said that Punjab is being taken out of the dark period and is leading towards development.
Chief Minister Punjab in her speech at the ‘Clinics on Wheels’ project ceremony stated: “The project will completely change the health sector, measures are being taken to provide convenience to the people. All the basic medical facilities are available in the Clinics on Wheels. We will have 200 clinics on wheels at various points”.
She added that 50 out of 200 vehicles will have an ultrasound facility. Clinics-on-Wheel will have a doctor, test and maternity facilities. Four million people will benefit from the project.
Maryam Nawaz continued to say that the clinics on wheel will be parked at the place where the hospital are far away. Screening and vaccination facilities will also be available in the clinics on wheel. The local doctors of 36 districts will be prioritized. This project will completely change the medical field.
Chief Minister further said that this project was started by Shehbaz Sharif and was closed in the previous regime. ‘We are re-aligning the projects of Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’. It is also considered to meet the shortage of nurses and paramedical stock. We are also taking health facilities to the doorsteps of the people.
“We are bringing state-of-the-art cardiology facilities in eight districts of Punjab, taking Punjab out of the dark ages and leading it towards development,” added Maryam.
Earlier, Chief Minister Punjab inaugurated the Clinics on Wheels Project, on this occasion Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir and Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan and others were also present.
