Islamabad: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced it will stage a long march against the incumbent PTI government on March 26.

After almost six hours of long meeting, speaking to reporters PDM leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the opposition parties in PDM will contest the upcoming Senate elections together.

Further he rejected the idea of open ballot method for upcoming Senate elections. In the meeting it was also decided that opposition will not cooperate with government in parliament.
Besides broadsheet inquiry committee along Proposed 26th constitutional amendment was also rejected by the opposition alliance.
Other than PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the meeting was also attended by PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari via video link.
Earlier the PDM had given a deadline to government to step down by January 31 with the warning that a march towards Islamabad would otherwise result in ouster of PTI government.
