Upgradation work begins at Gaddafi Stadium for Champions Trophy 2025

Lahore: The upgradation work at Gaddafi Stadium officially started on Saturday in Lahore in preparation for hosting the Champions Trophy 2025.
The initial phase of the upgradation involved relocating offices from the main building.
All directors and their departments are being moved to the Far End Building and the National Cricket Academy to facilitate the construction process.
According to the sources, the relocation of offices would be completed within the next week.
Following this, demolition of the current main building would commence. The plan included constructing a new, modern building closer to the ground, with state-of-the-art facilities.
The new main building would feature hospitality boxes at the front.
Besides it, the seating capacity would be increased in the Imran Khan and Fazl Mahmood enclosures of Gaddafi Stadium. The upgradation also included installation of new screens to enhance the viewing experience for spectators.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had announced that similar upgrades would be made to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi's National Cricket Stadium.
The upgradation included increasing seating capacity is being undertaken to ensure that the facilities are ready for the Champions Trophy 2025.
