The greenback closed at Rs278.36 after improving three paise

Karachi: The US dollar appreciated against the Pakistani Rupee in the interbank trading on Monday. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the greenback jumped by three paise to settle at Rs278.36 in the interbank.
On Friday last, the dollar was traded at Rs278.33 in the interbank.
The local unit has largely been around 277-278 against the dollar in recent weeks as Pakistan moves forward with its plan to win a longer and longer International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout programme.
