According to officials, poliovirus has spread in 42 districts of Pakistan so far

Islamabad: Despite the anti-polio campaign, the spread of poliovirus continues in the country.
The officials have informed that poliovirus has been detected in the environmental samples of 12 districts including two new districts Dera Ismail Khan and Bahawalpur.
In Sindh, poliovirus has been reconfirmed in environmental samples from Mirpur Khas, Karachi South, East and Korangi.
Apart from this, poliovirus has also been confirmed in the environmental samples of Lakki Marwat and Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan’s Aosta Muhammad, Chaman, Quetta and Mastung.
According to officials, poliovirus has spread in 42 districts of Pakistan so far.
