‘Kashmiris asking for nothing but freedom and identity’; Mashal reiterates to continue freedom struggle
Lahore: Mishal Malik, social activist and wife of jailed Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, has reiterated that the struggle for freedom of Kashmir would continue till it reaches its ultimate goal.

While exclusively talking to GNN on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Mashal said that Kashmiris are asking for nothing but freedom and identity.
“A nation who isn’t afraid of death is undefeatable. Young people from across the world should take inspiration from Kashmiri youth who are living in such adverse conditions. They are simultaneously pursuing studies and leading a freedom in curfew, lockdown and communication blackout,” she said.
Mashal Malik further said that despite burying martyrs every other day, the people of Kashmir are not surrendering in front of oppressive Indian regime.
“People of all age come out and fight Indian atrocities fearlessly,” she said. She added that Kashmiris are only asking for the right to self-determination promised by India in United Nations (UN).
The Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today (Friday) with renewed commitment to bring Kashmir issue to the limelight and expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
India on August 05, 2019 in a unilateral move abrogated Articles 370 and 35A granting special status to occupied Kashmir. The move was followed by imposition of curfew and communication blackout in the valley still intact after 550 days.
