Antigua: In the 24th match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men's T20 World Cup, Australia qualified for the Super-VIII stage by defeating Namibia by nine wickets.
Australian captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and invited Namibia to bat first in the World Cup Group B match played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
Namibia's innings
The Namibian batsmen could not hold their own against the Australian bowlers and the entire team was bowled out for 72 runs in 17 overs.
Nine Namibian batsmen could not even get into double figures against Australia. Captain Erasmus managed to score 36 runs.
For Australia, Adam Zampa took four, Josh Hazlewood and Stoins two each, while Cummins and Allies took one wicket each.
Australia's innings
Australia achieved Namibia's target of 73 runs at the loss of one wicket in the sixth over.
For Australia, Travis Head scored 34 off 17 balls and Mitchell Marsh scored 18 unbeaten runs and David Warner scored 20.
Australia qualified for the Super-VIII stage with six points after their third consecutive success in the group stage of the T20 World Cup.
It is pertinent to note that both Australia and Namibia were playing their third match in the event today.
Namibia has won one and lost two matches.
