Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Health said that 2,764 cases of heat exhaustion and sunstroke have been registered among the pilgrims during Hajj.
The spokesman of the Saudi Ministry of Health, Dr Muhammad Al-Abd Al-Ali, stated that 2,764 cases of heat exhaustion and sunstroke have been reported, but the overall health of the pilgrims is satisfactory.
He added that for not following the instructions or guidelines regarding health, some pilgrims suffered from heat exhaustion which is the biggest challenge.
Dr Muhammad Al-Abd continued to say that the pilgrims should follow all the health guidelines and continue using umbrellas. The cases heat exhaustion are likely to increase but it can be prevented by following the health guidelines.
He further said that the organisers in Mina should inform the pilgrims about the health guidelines as it ensures health, safety and security.
