Lahore: The weather will likely remain extremely hot and dry in most parts of the country today (Wednesday).
According to the Meteorological Department, rain in Islamabad, some areas of Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan can occur in the evening and night.
Weather forecasters say that Sibbi recorded the highest temperature in the country on Tuesday at 48 degree Celsius.
Similarly, Gujranwala recorded 47 degrees, Mandi Bahauddin and Dadu 46 degrees, Lahore, Sargodha, Turbat and Bannu recorded 45 degrees, while Multan, Sahiwal and Faisalabad recorded 43 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Muzaffarabad was 42 degrees Celsius, Islamabad 41, Peshawar 38, Karachi 36, Quetta 35, and Gilgit 34 degrees Celsius.
