Punjab CTD arrests 22 terrorists in IBOs
The spokesman said that in the operation, two terrorists belonging to TTP were arrested while one Al-Qaeda terrorist was arrested from Attock
Lahore: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 22 terrorists during 152 Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in different cities of Punjab given terrorism concerns.
According to the spokesperson CTD Punjab, operations were conducted in Lahore, Muzaffargarh, Attock, Nankana Sahib, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Lodhran, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Chakwal, Multan and Faisalabad.
The spokesman said that in the operation, two terrorists belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were arrested while one Al-Qaeda terrorist was arrested from Attock. Explosives, three hand grenades, eight detonators, 32 feet of safety fuse wire, an IED bomb, Prima card, mobile phones, and cash were seized from the terrorists.
According to CTD spokesman, the terrorists have been identified as Abdullah, Hameedullah, Kamal Khan, Allah Ditta, Nadeem, Manzar, Moazzam, Ramzan, Feroze Khan, Shoaib, Yasir etc. The terrorists were planning to attack at different places.
The spokesperson further said that 104 suspects were arrested during 743 combing operations in this week while 27,062 people were interrogated.
