Lahore: The Punjab cabinet has approved the budget 2021-22 with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the chair.
According to details, the cabinet has approved a 10 per cent increase in salaries and pensions of government employees.
Speaking on occasion, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said the government won’t put any burden on farmers.
The Punjab government is going to present Rs2, 600 billion budget for the next financial year 2021-2022 in the Punjab Assembly on Monday (today).
Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht will present the budget. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has summoned a special session of the cabinet ahead of the budget.
According to a spokesman of Punjab Finance Department, a special package for industries and a number of public welfare projects will be announced in the budget.
Provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants, chief secretary and concerned secretaries will attend the session.
