ATC rejects Imran Khan’s interim bail in three cases related to May 9 riots
The court has announced verdict in three cases including Jinnah House attack, Askari Tower and Shadman police station arson incidents
Lahore: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Tuesday rejected the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in three cases related to the events of May 9.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore had reserved its decision after hearing arguments on the interim bail applications of the PTI founder in the cases concerning the Jinnah House attack, Askari Tower and Shadman police station arson incidents.
The prosecution had demanded Imran Khan's arrest in the Jinnah House and other cases, saying that his arrest was necessary for investigation.
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Khalid Arshad announced the reserved decision.
The court rejected the interim bail applications of the PTI founder, thereby canceling his interim bail.
It is worth mentioning that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is currently in Adiala Jail, having been sentenced in the Toshakhana case.
Recently, Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka had rejected the appeals for suspension of sentences of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
