Landslides likely after rain in Punjab, Balochistan, Kashmir
Due to heavy rain, there is a flood situation in Shirani, Dahana Sir, and Zhob areas of Balochistan
Lahore: After the rain, the weather became pleasant in various cities of Punjab, North Balochistan, and Azad Kashmir.
Due to heavy rains in different areas of Punjab including Gujarat, Jhelum and Hafizabad, the heat wave broke and the weather became pleasant.
The rain in Gujarat affected several feeders of Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) due to which power supply was suspended in different areas while Jhelum city and its surroundings received rain with strong wind. The weather in Hafizabad city and its surroundings became pleasant due to heavy rain.
Thunderstorms are continuing in and around Samahni area of Azad Kashmir, while the weather has become pleasant in Bhabmar after heavy rains.
Due to heavy rain, there is a flood situation in Shirani, Dahana Sir, and Zhob areas of Balochistan.
Risk of landslides in KP, Murree, Guliyat and Kashmir
Late-night landslides also occurred in Dahana Sar. Due to the flood situation Zhob-DI Khan National Highway is closed for traffic at Dahana Sar due to which a large number of vehicles are stuck.
According to the Department of Meteorology, more rain is likely in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir today. There is a risk of landslides in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, and Kashmir due to heavy rain.
Rain likely in areas of Sindh including Karachi
Rain is also expected in most areas of Sindh including Karachi. There is a possibility of a reduction in the intensity of heat due to possible rain in Karachi. The maximum temperature in the city is 36 degrees Celsius and the intensity is likely to be felt up to 42 degrees.
