Matiari: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) officials have registered 10 cases of electricity theft against more than 1,500 people while cracking down on electricity thieves in Matiari.
According to HESCO officials, more than 10 cases have been registered at Hala, New Saeedabad, and Matiari police stations in which more than 1,500 electricity thieves have been named.
HESCO officials stated that 60 percent of electricity is being robbed across the district. To prevent this, they have started a crackdown and cases have been registered in the first phase, and will start arrests in the next phase.
People are not aware of the cases filed late at night by HESCO officials, however, a large number of them have been named in the cases.
