Chief Minister of Punjab directed to clean all areas of small and big cities equally


Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered to immediately start ‘Suthra Punjab’ programme across the province.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in which a briefing was given on ‘Suthra Punjab’ programme and outsourcing of solid waste management services.
It was stated in the briefing that the solid waste management companies of Sargodha and Sahiwal will also become fully functional soon. 361 private companies have applied for solid waste management across Punjab.
The Chief Minister of Punjab has directed to clean all the areas of small and big cities equally. Besides, she also directed to not neglect the responsibility of cleaning the drains.
On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz stated that no area in any city should be deprived of cleanliness. Urban, semi-urban and rural areas should be thoroughly cleaned. The cleanliness situation in many cities including Lahore and Sargodha is not satisfactory.
