FBR tightens noose around celebs, issues advance tax notice to Rahat
Karachi: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has tighten noose around Pakistani celebrities and issued an advance tax notice to acclaimed singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Reportedly, an advance tax notice has been issued to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan by FBR, owing to non-payment of income tax from his side, for the year 2021.
As per reports, the singer owes Rs 1,247,186 in terms of tax amount and has given deadline of 15 days for the payment.
According to regulation, by the stipulated time, if the singer fails to pay the tax, legal action will be taken against him.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani musician, primarily of Qawwali, a devotional music of the Muslim Sufis.
He is Khan one of the biggest and highest paid singers.
Khan is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and also grandson of Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan.
