Thousands offer Ismail Haniyeh's funeral prayer in absentia in JI sit-in, other cities

Islamabad: The funeral prayer of slain Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was offered in absentia at the sit-in of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. Haniya's funeral prayer was performed in absentia in which thousands of people participated.
JI Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman led the funeral prayer, which was attended by the delegation of the Palestinian Embassy and the central and provincial leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Speaking on the occasion of funeral prayers in absentia at Liaquat Road, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that he strongly condemned the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the former Prime Minister of Palestine Authority. "We remember the lesson of history. This movement of Hamas will never stop."
Also in Karachi, the funeral prayer of Ismail Hania was performed in absentia under Jamaat-e-Islami.
The businessmen of Karachi also performed the funeral prayer of Ismail Hania in absentia at Timber Market Khyber Chowk in which the business leader Sharjeel Gopalani and the businessmen participated.
On behalf of JI, the funeral prayer of Ismail Hania was also performed at Hyderabad's Station Road.
