Heavy rain: CM Punjab orders alert to authorities
She directed to use all resources to drain rainwater
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz ordered the concerned departments to remain alert in view of heavy rain.
Maryam Nawaz directed administrative officers and Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) officials to reach the field and issued orders to ensure early drainage of rainwater in Lahore and other cities.
She directed to use all the resources to drain the rainwater and said that the wardens and related in-charges should be present to maintain the flow of traffic.
Maryam Nawaz said that the operation of drainage of rainwater from streets should be completed soon.
