DC said that convoys of more than 400 vehicles have been sent from Babusar Top to Chilas


Mansehra: After the torrential rains and flood waters subsided in Mansehra, the safe evacuation of thousands of tourists trapped in Kaghan is continuing.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Mansehra, Kaghan highway is still closed due to the collapse of the bridge from Mahandri in Mansehra, the stranded tourists are being sent away.
The Deputy Commissioner said that convoys of more than 400 vehicles have been sent from Babusar Top to Chilas under police protection. Around 2,500 tourists are present in Kaghan Naran, while there is a complete ban on the entry of new tourists to Kaghan Valley.
He stated that after the construction of the new bridge, the Kaghan Valley will be opened for tourists. There is plenty of food and drink in the Kaghan Valley, and an alternative route will be arranged within 24 hours.
It is pertinent to note that due to heavy rains and flooded rails yesterday, houses, gardens, mosques, and crops were severely damaged in Mansehra, while the bridge at Mahandri was also swept away.
