The spell of monsoon rains is likely to continue till August 14


Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted monsoon rains in most districts of Punjab in the next 24 hours.
According to PDMA spokesperson, the water level in rivers, dams, and canals is increasing due to rains. In the last 24 hours, Rawalpindi recorded 88 mm, Gujranwala 17 mm, Bahawalnagar, Kasur 11 mm, and Sheikhupura 17 mm. done
PDMA stated that the low to medium flood situation in the Indus River is likely to persist for the next few days. An alert has been issued regarding the flood situation in the Indus River.
According to the spokesman, there is a risk of flooding in the river channels connected to the river Chenab and Ravi. There is a high level of flood in the Sialkot channel, and the administration has been instructed to be alert.
The spell of monsoon rains is likely to continue till August 14, the Director General (DG) PDMA said.
