After reviewing construction work of the project, Khan said that industrialization will greatly contribute to progress of the country through wealth creation.
“The completion of Dasu Dam would ensure cheap and clean electricity and would ease the burden on consumers,” the Premier added.
He further added, “Hydropower generation should have been given priority to produce cheap electricity”.
Imran Khan said the project would usher in a new era of socio-economic development in the country.
The Phase I of Dasu Dam will complete in 2025 and start supplying 2160 megawatts to the national grid. This capacity will increase to 4320 megawatts with the completion of its second phase by 2029.
