Punjab starts administering Pfizer to people suffering from chronic illnesses
Lahore: Punjab has started administering Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine to people suffering from chronic illnesses including cancer, AIDS and organ transplant.
According to local media, the health department has distributed the Pfizer vaccine to different vaccination centers across Punjab.
Reportedly, the Shaukat Khanum hospital has been provided 7,000 doses and the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant (PKLI) 8,000 doses.
In Faisalabad, the Allied Hospital Faisalabad has been given 2,800 shots while the Rawalpindi’s Holy Family Hospital has been given 1,500 doses.
Out of the total 100,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine Pakistan received, Punjab has been given 23,000.
