Karachi reports first Congo virus case
Doctors say the patient suffering from the virus has been shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for medical care
Karachi: A man fell victim of deadliest Congo Virus in the provincial capital, the local authorities said on Wednesday (today).
The patient was immediately shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
According to the doctors, the 32-year old patient had symptoms like diarrhea and fever and when they examined him he was found victim of Congo virus.
“We have shifted to the Incentive Care Unit for his safety, security and care,” said a doctor, pointing out that the patient’s condition was deteriorating.
The health experts believed that Congo Virus is deadliest and probability of survival is only ten percent. It transfers from animals to humans and then humans to humans. Bleeding from gums, nose and feces are the common symptoms.
