Army Chief has appreciated the role of retired army men and officers in the protection of the country


Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that the miscreants are trying to create a gap between the people and the armed forces.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan Army, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir organised a reception in honor of retired army officers on Independence Day.
A large number of retired army officers and soldiers participated in the ceremony and Army Chief Asim Munir paid tribute to the services of the retired officers.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief has appreciated the role of retired army men and officers in the protection of the country and said that former army officers play an important role in the development of Pakistan.
The Army Chief stressed the need to remain united to face the challenges and that the retired leadership continued to play an important role in the development of Pakistan.
According to ISPR, Asim Munir while talking about the dangers of fake news and propaganda stated that the miscreants are trying to create a gap between the people and the armed forces.
He further said that all such conspiracies will be foiled with the unwavering support of retired army officers and soldiers and the nation.
According to ISPR, on this occasion retired officers and soldiers expressed confidence and faith in the leadership of the Pakistan Army and assured full support to deal with external and internal security threats.
The purpose of the ceremony was to show the strong relationship between the current and retired leadership of the Pakistan Army. The retired officers and young men are united for the prosperity and security of the country, added ISPR.
