KP Minister Shakeel Ahmed resigns
He also alleged that Ali Amin was interfering in his department and was following someone else's instructions
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Construction and Communications Shakeel Ahmed Khan has resigned from his post. He attributed the reason for his resignation to the increasing corruption in the province and differences with other ministers including Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Shakeel Ahmed Khan said that he cannot be a part of this corrupt system and the Chief Minister has become the leader of corruption in the province.
He also alleged that Ali Amin was interfering in his department and was following someone else's instructions.
Shakeel Ahmed stated that he wants to stick to the principles of Imran Khan—the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)— but the current government has deviated from those principles.
On the other hand, Ali Amin Gandapur reacted to Shakeel Ahmed Khan's resignation saying that he has not received any written resignation yet. A committee has recommended the removal of Shakeel Ahmed Khan from the cabinet and a summary has been sent to the governor in this regard.
