Security concerns: Adiala Jail superintendent apologises for not presenting Bushra Bibi in ATC
In a letter, the jail officer says former first lady cannot be presented before court due to security concerns

Rawalpindi: The Superintendent of Adiala Central Jail on Saturday apologised for not presenting the PTI patron and former prime minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi in a court hearing due to security reasons.
He wrote a letter to the judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) regarding the investigation and physical remand related to the cases against Bushra Bibi from May 9.
The Superintendent wrote that due to security concerns, it was not possible to hold today’s hearing at Adiala Jail while another hearing involving 190 million pounds was also scheduled at the jail.
In response to the superintendent's letter, the defence lawyers argued that the letter carries no legal weight in the face of court orders.
Subsequently, the court postponed the hearing until next week after considering the arguments from both parties.
