Prime suspect of police attack killed in retaliation
An operation is underway to nab the robbers involved in the incident
Sadiqabad: After an attack on a police van by dacoits in Machhka area of Sadiqabad city of Punjab province, the Punjab police retaliated and killed the main accused Bashir Shar.
According to the spokesperson of the police, in the ongoing police operation late at night, the dangerous bandit of Kacha area, Bashir Shar, was killed. He was among the prime accused in the attack on the police personnel yesterday.
The Inspector General of Punjab said that the two associates of dacoit Bashir Shar, Naseer and Gadi Kosh alias Meena, have been seriously injured. An operation is underway to nab the robbers involved in the incident. All the accused involved in the attack on the police personnel will be brought to justice.
It is pertinent to note that at least 11 police personnel were martyred and 10 were injured in an attack by bandits in Sadiqabad city of Punjab province yesterday.
The bandits opened fire after attacking two police mobiles with rockets in Machhka area of Sadiqabad city of Punjab province.
There were more than 20 police personnel in both the police mobiles and after the robbers threw rockets at these police mobiles, firing was also started.
The policemen were returning from duty in Kacha when they were attacked as a result of which 12 were martyred and 10 were injured.
The dead bodies of the martyred personnel in the attack were shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital and the leave of doctors and paramedical staff was canceled by imposing an emergency in the hospital.
