Pakistan Army Rescues Seven Climbers, Including 3 Russians, in Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army successfully rescued seven mountaineers in Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday from an altitude of 20,100 feet. Among the rescued were three Russians and four Pakistanis.

The climbers faced trouble due to high altitude sickness. Upon receiving the rescue request, the Pakistan Army swiftly deployed helicopters to bring them to safety.

The mountaineers expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their timely assistance.

Last month, the army had also rescued six foreign climbers from K-2, the world’s second-highest peak, after they suffered from high altitude sickness during their expedition.
