The order comes after the PTI raised concerns about Chaudhry's arrest by Punjab police

Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday issued a production order for PTI MNA Haji Imtiaz Ahmad Chaudhry, ensuring his presence in the upcoming assembly session on August 26.
The order comes after the PTI raised concerns about Chaudhry's arrest by Punjab police without prior approval from the speaker.
The speaker emphasized that Haji Imtiaz’s presence is necessary for the session. He instructed the director general of Punjab’s Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) to bring Chaudhry to each assembly sitting. After each session, he will be returned to ACE custody.
Haji Imtiaz was in ACE custody under physical remand for a graft case, where he faces charges of receiving a Rs2 million commission from a development scheme. Despite initial difficulties, including an alleged kidnapping incident, ACE rearrested the MNA on August 8 at Multan airport as he attempted to leave for Qatar.
Chaudhry, who was elected as an independent candidate supported by PTI, was initially elected as an MNA in the 2018 elections on a PTI ticket.
