He said Punjab Police desired to rid society of kid molesters and make it a nontoxic place for kids.
Earlier, Punjab police Sunday arrested former Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (JUI) leader Mufti Aziz-Ur-Rehman and his son from Mianwali.
A leaked video of 70-year old, Mufti Aziz-Ur-Rehman has been circulating all over social media where he had sexually abused a seminary student.
Mufti Aziz can be seen molesting one of his teenage students in the footage. Reportedly, the horrific incident took place at the Jamia Manzoor Islamia madrassa.
On the other hand, Rehman, whose membership has been suspended by his party and who has been issued a termination notice from the institute, also issued a video statement in which he denied his involvement in the act and claimed that it is part of a conspiracy to smear his name.
The victim had stated that a former JUI leader sexually abused him and then the cleric's sons started blackmailing and threatening to kill him.
However, a case had been filed in Lahore’s police station on the complaint of the victim. The sons of Mufti Azizul Rehman were also been named in the case.
Soon after the video went viral, netizens took to Twitter to express their shock and anger. Many called for immediate action to be taken against him in order to put a halt to such incidents in future.
