Speaking to the media on the occasion of his visit to Karachi Press Club, Fawad Chaudhry said that the money given to Sindh are recovered from Dubai, Canada and Europe adding that it is necessary to monitor the money Sindh gets from the federal government.

He also accused Sindh rulers of water theft.

The Minister said PTI-led federal government has transferred Rs1800 billion to the Sindh government during the past two years and asked as to where the money was utilized and why it is not being spent on Karachi’s uplift.

Responding to the question he said the stance of Prime Minister Imran Khan is clear that the use of bases or the territory of Pakistan will not be allowed for action in Afghanistan.

The Federal Minister said that the worst enemies of Sindh are ruling over Sindh.

“It should be cited that the lands of Faryal Talpur and Murad Ali Shah have never run out of water. When Irsana started taking practical steps, the Sindh government refused to provide entry and exit records of water.”

Federal Minister said that the Supreme Court is required to implement Article 140A in the country including Sindh.

He said that no forum other than the Parliament was suitable for discussion on electoral reforms.

Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI wanted to bring an electoral system in which the loser would not cry of rigging while “weakening the parliament was tantamount to weakening democracy.”

Later, Minister for Information termed the call of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif for holding All Parties Conference on electoral reforms as absolutely ridiculous.

The minister said Shahbaz Sharif has bypassed the parliament over the issue of electoral reforms and due legislation.

He questioned that how can the people who are in the habit of election rigging give suggestions over holding fair and transparent elections.

Chaudhry Fawad said Shahbaz Sharif has coined a new story after the failure of the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
