Mentors include Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Waqar Younis


Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced five mentors of Champions Cup teams.
The mentors include Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Waqar Younis. The first assignment of these mentors will be the Champions ODI Cup starting from September 12 in Faisalabad.
Speaking in this regard, Mohsin Naqvi said that all the five cricketers are rich with extensive experience in the game, and their presence will be useful for Pakistan cricket.
Mohsin stated that PCB is committed to strengthening Pakistan cricket through a strong domestic structure.
Wicketkeeper-batter Sarfraz Ahmed will be allowed to play as a player while being a mentor. He is the only active cricketer among the mentors.
Sarfaraz Ahmed's last first-class match was against Bangladesh A this month.
It is also reported that Sarfraz Ahmad will be able to continue playing professional cricket while being a mentor.
