Karachi: It rained in different areas of Karachi early in the morning with strong winds.
Heavy rain and strong winds are also continuing in various places including II Chandrigar Road, Sadar, Burns Road, Defense View, Mehmoodabad, and Akhtar Colony.
It is pertinent to note that yesterday the fifth alert was issued by the Meteorological Department in relation to the cyclone in the Arabian Sea.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone is located in the north-east of the Arabian Sea.
The Meteorological Department said that after the coastal areas of Sindh, the cyclone will go to the sea east and south-east of Gwadar. The possibility of intermittent heavy rain has also been shown in Karachi till August 31.
According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds are expected in Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan, and other districts, with gusts of 80 km per hour.
The Meteorological Department warned that there could be severe flooding in the sea during the storm.
Because of the cyclone, fishermen have been banned from going into the deep sea till August 31, while the fishermen of Balochistan have been instructed not to go into the deep sea till September 1.
The possibility of rain with strong winds and thunder has been predicted in different districts of Balochistan till September 1.
