Petrol price slashed by Rs1.86 per litre in Pakistan
Federal government slashes High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by 3.32 per litre for the fortnight, and the new prices will be effective from Sept 1, 2024
Islamabad: The federal government on Saturday slashed the prices of the petroleum products for the fortnight.
The petrol price was slashed by Rs1.86 per litre while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) price was cut down by Rs3.32 per litre for the next two weeks.
The authorities also notified the new prices which would be effective from 12 am tonight.
Besides it, the price of kerosene oil was lowered by Rs2.15 per liter and light diesel oil was reduced by Rs2.97 per liter.
Earlier, federal government had cut down the petrol price by Rs8.47 per liter, citing a decrease in global fuel prices. The last recorded price for petrol was Rs260.96 per liter, and high-speed diesel had been reduced from Rs272.77 to Rs266.07 per liter.
