Kabul police spokesperson Khalid Zadran says this afternoon, an individual wearing explosives detonated the device

Kabul: At least six people were killed and 13 others injured in a suicide attack in Kabul on Monday.
Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Kabul police spokesperson Khalid Zadran, “This afternoon, an individual wearing explosives detonated the device,”.
He further stated, “Tragically, six civilians, including a woman, lost their lives, and 13 others sustained injuries,”.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The explosion occurred in the Qala-e-Bakhtiar area in southern Kabul, and authorities are currently investigating the incident.
Since the Taliban's takeover in 2021, which brought an end to a two-decade-long conflict involving foreign forces and Islamic insurgents, violence has decreased in Afghanistan.
However, the Islamic State's regional affiliate, known as Islamic State Khorasan, remains active and frequently targets civilians, foreigners, and Taliban officials through gun and bomb attacks.
